Dr. Farhan Farooq is a highly respected figure in Pakistan’s poultry sector, renowned for his academic excellence, leadership roles, and commitment to scientific advancement in poultry and veterinary sciences. He currently serves as the Director of KK Chicks and holds a key role at KK Pharma, one of the country’s trusted poultry pharmaceutical providers.
Dr. Farooq is the Secretary General of the World’s Poultry Science Association (WPSA) – Pakistan Branch, where he plays a pivotal role in fostering knowledge exchange and innovation within the poultry science community. He also serves as the Chairman of the Poultry Committee at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and is an active member of prestigious professional bodies including the World’s Veterinary Poultry Association (WVPA) and the Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA). He has been a member of WVPA and PPA since August 2005.
Dr. Farooq is also recognized as an International Speaker, having delivered lectures on poultry science in Saudi Arabia (KSA), Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, and Turkey.
The elder son of Haji Muhammad Farooq, Dr. Farhan Farooq earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF). He went on to complete his MBA Executive with a Gold Medal from Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi (PMAS), followed by M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Poultry Science from the same institution.
Since August 2005, he has been serving as the Production Manager at KK Chicks, where he has led the implementation of advanced production systems, biosecurity protocols, and quality assurance measures. His blend of technical expertise and field experience has significantly contributed to KK Chicks’ reputation for quality and consistency.
Through his leadership, Dr. Farooq continues to elevate Pakistan’s poultry industry and support the professional development of veterinary and poultry science communities both nationally and internationally.
